Quantum Random Number Generator
KUTADGU takes its randomness from nature itself. According to quantum mechanics, the moment at which a radioactive nucleus decays cannot be predicted. KUTADGU measures the timing of decays in a low-activity Americium-241 (Am-241) source, the same isotope used in household smoke detectors, and generates random numbers from this timing.
Developed at METU IVMER, KUTADGU is a compact and portable board that connects via USB.
