Particle and Nuclear Physics Experimental Capacity Development Project

The aim of this project is to develop experimental apparatus of spark room, diamond detector and Mossbauer spectroscopy for nuclear and particle physics applications.

The spark chamber is used as a detector to measure cosmic muon. The spark chamber that will be developed and exhibited in the department of physics, will help to observe particle traces directly.

The measurements listed below will be possible with the assembled devices that will be added to the simple version.

  • Muon lifetime
  • Speed of muons
  • Parity violation, experimental disruption of mirror symmetry
  • Removing the system to a high mountain to measure cosmic muon flux
  • The calibration of another particle detector
