CERN Summer School program brings students from different countries together each summer for eight weeks in Geneva, allowing them to gain experience by working on CERN experiments while taking useful lessons in particle physics. Participants attend courses for half of the day and work in one of the experiments for the rest of the day. Each year, 6 students from Turkey are admitted to this program.
Students who are accepted into the program are supported by a foundation established to honor the memory of Prof. Dr. Engin Arık and other science martyrs who lost their lives in the plane crash in Isparta in 2007.

Programa kabul edilen öğrenciler, çeşitli kuruluşlar ve gönüllüler tarafından 2007 yılındaki Isparta uçak kazasında hayatını kaybeden bilim şehitlerimiz ve Prof. Dr. Engin Arık anısını yaşatmak için başlatılan burs fonundan desteklenmektedir.
